Padraic o'Hare, a professor of Catholic religious education, is deeply troubled by the age-old persecution of the Jews that culminated in the Holocaust. He sadly recognizes the complicity of the Church in virtue of its anti-Judaic doctrinal tradition. The burden of his book is to present the Christian faith, and the doctrine of Christ in particular, in a manner that removes the anti-Judaic edge and allows Christians to recognize God's redemptive presence in Judaism and, in fact, all the great world religions.
