Levy, David J.

Rabbi David Levy received his semicha (rabbinic ordination) from Yeshiva University in 1983. He dedicated fourteen years to work as a pulpit Rabbi. During that time he was consistently involved in local interfaith efforts. In 1985 Rabbi Levy received a Doctorate Honoris Causa from Kansas Newman College in Wichita, Kansas. In 1996 Rabbi Levy completed his Masters at Wilfrid Laurier University. The title of his thesis was The Holocaust: A Catalyst for Theological Evolution as Exemplified by the Writings of Dr. John T. Pawlikowski, O.S.M. Prior to his studies at Yeshiva University, Rabbi Levy completed undergraduate studies in the joint program of Columbia University and The Jewish Theological Seminary of America. Currently Rabbi Levy lives in Israel, in the Galilee, with his wife and children.
