ICCJ honors  founder of jcrelations.net

Fritz Voll, founder of this Web site, was honored with the Interfaith Gold Medallion "Peace through Dialogue" at a meeting of the regional Council of Christians and Jews on 1 November 2001.

The General Secretary of the International Council of Christians and Jews (ICCJ), Rev. Friedhelm Pieper, presented the medallion to Voll in recognition of his many years of dedicated work in building up the website and establishing contacts with persons and organizations active in Christian-Jewish relations throughout the world. Born in Germany, Fritz Voll settled in Alberta, Canada in 1976 and in 1983 became a regional director of the Canadian Council of Christians and Jews as well as a leader in the dialogue work of the United Church of Canada.

After his retirement in 1994 he established this Web site, funding and maintaining it single-handedly for six years until turning it over to the ICCJ in 2000. The Web site operates today in five languages under an international team of editors, with Voll continuing to act as Webmaster.
