The Center for Christian-Jewish Learning at Boston College is devoted to the multifaceted development and implementation of new relationships between Christians and Jews that are based, not merely on toleration, but on full respect and mutual enrichment. The building of new, positive relationships between Christians and Jews requires sustained collaborative research. Under the Center's auspices, scholars and thinkers representing diverse Christian and Jewish perspectives engage in intense and ongoing study of all aspects of our related yet distinct traditions of faith and culture.
As part of their "Jewish-Christian Lecture Series" program guest speakers regularely present lectures to enrich and encourage dialogue among faculty and students. These lectures are recorded and made available publicly through the Center's website and social media. As part of their Jewish-Christian Lecture Series recently Dr. Raphael Jospe spoke in Prof. Ruth Langer's class "Jews and Christians: Understanding the Other." His lecture was titled "The Significance of Jerusalem in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam."
