The 2004 Parliament of the World?s Religions, scheduled to be held in Barcelona, Spain, from July 7-13, has announced further program details. The overall theme of the conference is ?Pathways to Peace: The Wisdom of Listening, the Power of Commitment.” Seminars to be held each day will include ?intrareligious” sessions, each designed to explore some aspect of a particular religious tradition; ?interreligious” sessions, involving dialogue between two or more traditions; and ?engagement” sessons, about how adherents of various religions can join in addressing critical problems in the world today. Opportunities will also be offered to experience spiritual observances from the various traditions, as well as artistic expressions such as music, dance, and the visual arts. Featured speakers will include, among others, the Dalai Lama, the Archbishop of Barcelona, Dr. Abdullah Omar Nasseef, Ela Gandhi, and Rabbi Henry J. Sobel. All persons are welcome to attend.
