Jospe, Raphael

Prof. Raphael Jospe recently retired after a career of 50 years in university teaching, including (most recently) at Ariel University of Samaria and previously at Bar Ilan University, the Open University of Israel, and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem’s School for Overseas Students. Dr. Jospe has authored or edited over 20 books, dozens of articles, and served as Editor of the Jewish Philosophy Division of the Encyclopaedia Judaica (2nd edition). He is active in inter-religious dialogue and has lectured at the Vatican and at the World Council of Churches. Prof. Jospe and his wife live in Jerusalem and are the parents of 7 children and have (at last count) 23 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
