Jews and Evangelicals hold dear their identity and peoplehood. This leads to unavoidable complications. Technically, Evangelicals cannot deny their witness or they are estranged from their pooplehood, Jews lose their peoplehood if they succumb to evangelical witness. Both groups are fearful of being manipulated by the other. So Rausch characterizes the problems and offers constructive suggestions.
