Toward a Theological Encounter: Jewish Understandings of Christianity. New York/Mahwah NJ: Paulist Press 1991

Rabbi Klenicki's own article: 'Toward a Process of Healing: Understanding the Other as a Person of God' sets the tone of this volume. Other contributors are Norman Solomon, Elliott Dorff, Walter Jacob, David Novak, Michael Wyschogrod and Daniel Breslauer, together with a perceptive article about Will Herberg by David G. Dalin. An excellent collection of essays by Jewish scholars that lays out some varied attitudes regarding Christianity. The essays address, among other topics, general themes in the dialogue, the centrality of covenant and three theological perspectives on Christianity.
