Parkes was the doyen of the Christian historian of the conflict between Judaism and Christianity, and all his books still deserve attention (see also #21 and #86). The Conflict of the Church and Synagogue is a mine of information, and full of the most amazing instances of Christian rhetoric again the Jewish people. One of the earliest and most important theological critiques of supersessionism. A classic work.
