Marc Saperstein is the Charles E. Smith Professor of Jewish History and Director of the Program in Judaic Studies at George Washington University in Washington, DC . He is the author of Decoding the Rabbis (Harvard University Press, 1980), Moments of Crisis in Jewish-Christian Relations (Trinity Press International, 1989), Jewish Preaching 1200-1800 (Yale University Press, 1989), and "Your Voice is Like a Ram's Horn" (Hebrew Union College Press, 1996).
