Lyosov, Sergey V.

Dr. Sergey V. Lyosov graduated from Moscow State University where he studied philology. From 1983 to 1992 he was a researcher at the Institute for Information on the Humanities (Academy of Sciences of the U.S.S.R.). His field of research was first-century Judaism and early Christianity. Since 1992 he has taught courses in New Testament, Hebrew Bible, Biblical Hebrew, Aramaic and Akkadian at the State University for the Humanities (Moscow). He published a book on the history of interpretation of the New Testament (1996). In 1999 there appeared a volume of his collected papers "An essay in Understanding", written 1985-1998.
