The Reverend Robert Gribben has been the General Secretary of the Victorian Council of Churches from 1989. He taught liturgical studies at an Anglican theological college in Lincoln, UK, a mediaeval city whose cathedral houses the tomb of Little St Hugh, one of the boy-saints whose death was blamed on the local Jewish community. He became interested in Jewish-Christian relationships in practical ways from this time, joined the British Council of Christians and Jews, and was a founding member of the Victorian Council of Christians and Jews. He is particularly interested in the roots of Christian worship, many of which lie in Judaism. He is a minister of the Uniting Church in Australia.
