Gow, Andrew

Andrew Gow is Professor of History at the University of Alberta (Edmonton, Canada). He was educated at Carleton University, the University of Freiburg, the University of Toronto and the University of Arizona, where he received his Ph.D. in medieval and Refomation history under the late Heiko A. Oberman in 1993. He has published on Christian understandings of Jews and Judaism in the Middle Ages and Reformation era, Christian apocalypticism and anti-Judaism, Luther?s commentaries on Hebrew scripture, and lay Bible-reading in the later Middle Ages, among other topics. He is a member of Congregation Beth Shalom (USCJ) in Edmonton.
