This seminal work suggested that the anti-Judaic polemics in the N.T. were intimately related to the development of a 'high' Christology and thus that the foundations of antisemitism are embedded within the Christian scriptures. In her phrase antisemitism is the 'left hand' of Christology. Her thesis still has to be reckoned with though she has herself somewhat modified it.
