Vienna - An extensive photographic and documentary history of Jewish life in Central and Eastern Europe during the past century and today is now available on a Web site created by the Central Europe Center for Research and Documentation (Centropa), a U.S.-based organization with its headquarters in Vienna. The online exhibit, located at www.centropa.org/mainpage/main.asp, brings together hundreds of pictures from family collections and communal archives throughout the area. The pictures in turn are linked to online oral histories and other literary memoirs. Centropa was founded in 1999 by the writer, photographer, and filmmaker Edward Serotta.
