Some Reflections on Dabru Emet
Rabbi Signer: "In the efforts to write Dabru Emet and edit Christianity in Jewish Terms, the authors recognized that they were part of a rather small group of Jews who had participated in the dialogue with Christians. It was their desire to broaden the boundaries of the discussion that moved them out of their university offices and into the area of public statements."

Stendahl, Krister
Qumran and Supersessionism — And the Road Not Taken
"The driving force behind supersessionism is the claim to the true, authentic, and only legitimate continuity to the inherited history. But when Christianity - and less directly Islam - fell heir to the Biblical tradition and coupled their supersessionist claims with universal assertions, the road was open for a mind set that led to crusades and jihad, pogroms and worse." Is it possible "for Christians and Muslims to fathom that Christianization, or Islamization, of the world might not be God’s ultimate goal."

Saint Paul and the Jews
"...perhaps the Jesus movement, for which he had become a witness to the gentiles, was actually, in the plan and scheme of God, going to be a gentile movement! It had not been so conceived in the beginning, not even by Paul, the apostle to the Gentiles."

van Buren, Paul M.
Covenantal Pluralism?
When revelation is seen in its covenantal aspect as the grounding of a covenantal community in its relationship to God, it loses its unidirectional character. Being covenantal, it is always dialectical, constituted not simply by a divine act from above, but also by a human contribution from below.

"First to the Jews and also to the Greeks:"
A Clearing through the Letter to the Romans
Before his experience of being called, Paul had been provoked to persecute those of his compatriots who believed in Jesus as Messiah. As a consequence he could interpret his experience at Damascus only as a calling to be an "apostle to the nations." In turn, this resulted for him in his pondering the problem of the relationship of the nations with the God of Israel and therefore also with the people of Israel.
